I’m Kent Groff, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. I’ve been in business for 12 years, spending the first 8 years of my career working for a publicly traded broker/dealer. However, after seeing the conflict of interest with high-commission products, I left to become a true fiduciary for my clients.
My passion for the planning field was significantly influenced by the experience of assisting my family during my father’s prolonged battle with brain cancer. This included dealing with the financial implications that arose both prior to and after his passing.
As a result, I have centered my career around assisting high-achieving professionals and business owners in making optimized financial decisions for each unique stage of their life. Through a combination of expertise, wisdom, and age, I provide my clients with a sense of security, knowing that they will not need to seek alternative advisors later in life.
I currently reside in Baltimore County with my wife, Jennifer, son Mickey and daughter Cameron. Outside of work, I enjoy coaching boys’ lacrosse, playing golf, and spending quality time with my family.
